Steil Thompson Beef

Hi my name is Steil Thompson and I am 13 years old, and I have been in 4H for nine years Including Clover buds! I have learned so much throughout my 4H  career from leadership, to being a part of a club, to staying committed with the project even when it's hard. Throughout the years 4h has taught me about raising quail, steer, dogs, bees, horses and this year I added on rockets!! For which, thanks to my great team, I was elected President of the rocket club! Im so thankful for all I have learned and a huge thanks to our amazing volunteers and leaders for keeping our 4H clubs alive!!! And a huge thanks to our great community that supports us kids at the fair and auction each year!  Thank you so much and may God bless you and your family!

 This year in 4H I am raising a 1250 LB steer and a pen of three quail! My steer's name is Apache after the Apache military helicopter. Apache’s breed is a Shorthorn which is an awesome breed for a savory, juicy steak. Apache is a well-rounded steer with his loin prime rib and brisket popping off his muscular body. My quail come in a group of three and are all males the quail's names are Tyler Tony, Coby Cotton and Ned Forrester. Have you ever met someone who has eaten quail before? Well guess what you could be the first. Thank you 4H supporters and I hope I can see you at the 4H junior livestock auction.
