Aubrey Diss Lamb

Hello!

My name is Aubrey Diss and I am 9 years old. I raise rabbits, lambs, and pigs. This is my lamb, Junior. He loves his BFF and partner in crime, Bart (my older sister’s lamb). He also will never turn down feed, animal crackers, or frosted cheerios. Junior might be shy at first, but he is full of spunk and personality (like me). We are both learning a lot about patience.

This is my 3rd year in 4-H but my first year as a Junior member and raising animals. Even though I have helped my sister with her projects in the past, I learned so much by having my own this year. Mostly about getting up early, working hard, and what it takes to produce and raise an animal I love and am proud of. 

Unlike other kids, I don’t live on a ranch or farm and I am not able to keep lambs or pigs at my own home. I’ve been lucky enough to get a spot in the ‘Red Barn’ which has given me this amazing opportunity. I will forever be thankful to the Jr. Livestock Auction Committee, Eagle County, and the Eagle County CSU Extension for providing kids like me such a welcoming space to do something I love.
