To seek more calving ease sires while retaining all the other traits we seek in our herd bulls such as eye appeal, natural muscling, and TOTALITY we landed on buying back an interest in the LMC Icon bull that KQ Cattle Company purchased out of one of our online sales. Victor recently went to KQ to purchase recipient females out of their progressive commercial operation and found that many on his list ended up being Icon daughters. Thus, this led us to buying back into this unique herd sire that they have been utilizing on heifers with no problems.
Icon is sired by the Denver Grand Champion Simmental Bull bred by our friends up at Foster Bros. FBFS Wheel Man and out of the 2014 Reserve Grand Champion Simbrah Heifer at the Houston Junior Show for Micah Perkins, LMC Daydream. Among Daydream’s desirable attributes are a near flawless udder, excellent disposition, and a knack for adding CONSUMER DEMAND with every calf she produces. Combine this, with the proven Simmental genetics that Wheel Man brings to the table that includes breed greats like Steel Force, Black Joker and Star Struck and we believe you have yourself a legitimate herd sire.
Icon was the service sire to all the Simbrah show heifers on the ranch this year, we have this much confidence in this upcoming sire. He was used in their commercial operation; thus, this will be an opportunity to get in on the ground floor on the registered side of this bull. Thus far the udders on the Icon daughters look excellent as well. Semen is stored at Brushy Creek Custom Sires in Taylor, Texas and buyer is responsible for shipping costs.

GENERAL TERMS
Any announcements at the time of auction or bidding will take precedence over material previously provided.
All cattle must be picked up within 10 days of the conclusion of the sale, or a $12.00/day feed and yardage fee will be applied, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Payments are to be cash, approved check, or wire transfer. Payment must be received before the animal leaves the property. If payment arrangements have not been made within 10 days, the sale transaction shall be void and seller shall retain ownership together with the right to sell the animal to another buyer. PLA reserves the right to process a buyer's credit card on file for any lot(s) purchased if payment has not been made within ten (10) days of the event. A 4% processing and handling fee will be applied on all credit/debit card transactions.
Transportation of livestock is the sole responsibility of the buyer. All shipping of any kind shall be at buyer's expense.
Any extraordinary health certificates, tests, or documentation required for shipment shall be at buyer's expense.
This sale is governed by Texas law.
All standard sales held on the Premier Livestock Auctions (PLA) website are conducted with the horserace-style closing format. This means that at the posted closing time for any given event, that event will enter into a period called extended bidding. Extended bidding periods are five (5) minutes. Extended bidding will continue until there has been no bidding activity for the duration of the set extended bidding increment. At that time, the event will close and all lots will be declared sold to the highest Bidder.
